Water Customers Are Not 'Infinite Resources', Burnham Informed Suppliers

However, there are concerns that this spending will go towards infrastructure that water companies have not invested in for years. Some opposition MPs argued for the nationalization of the water industry, stating that households should avoid bearing such additional costs. These developments in the water sector not only create a financial burden on households but also exacerbate environmental issues. Experts point out that while water companies continue to distribute profits, they are unable to address infrastructure problems. Burnham stated that water companies need to correct this situation and that the government will take a more active role in this process.
