Jackdaw Gas Field Approval Awaited

The UK government is expected to approve the controversial Jackdaw gas field project off the coast of Aberdeen. Jackdaw was approved by the former Conservative government in 2022, but the process was halted due to a legal ruling from a Scottish court following an appeal by environmental groups against the permission granted without considering climate impacts.
