Nvidia Raises $500 Billion for Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure

Nvidia has raised $500 billion (approximately £370 billion) in capital by collaborating with leading banks and investors on Wall Street to develop its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The company announced that it has signed agreements with major investors such as Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR. These investors have begun to view AI hardware and infrastructure as a new asset class in an unprecedented way.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Computing in AI means revenue," emphasizing that they have brought together the world's leading long-term capital providers to independently finance AI infrastructure. The funds raised will be directed towards Nvidia's own projects and those developed by its partners. These infrastructure projects will include the construction of new data centers necessary for processing AI data and the establishment of new factories for producing the AI chips required to support these systems.

KKR's co-CEOs Joe Bae and Scott Nuttall stated in a joint announcement, "Computing has become a critical infrastructure asset class." It is known that all major technology and AI companies use Nvidia's chips to run their services, AI platforms, and AI chatbots. Companies like Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, SpaceX, Tesla, OpenAI, and Anthropic have spent over $1 trillion on AI projects and infrastructure in the last three years, and this figure is expected to increase.

Nvidia's stock value has increased fivefold in the last three years due to this demand. Huang stated in their announcement, "Today, we are helping to create a new productive and investable infrastructure class: AI factories." Jim Zelter, president of Apollo, emphasized that modern computing has become a valuable and critical asset class, highlighting that this presents a significant opportunity to support long-term economic growth and productivity increases.
