Amazon Cargo Plane Crash at Miami Airport: Five People Lost Their Lives

At the international airport in Miami, Florida, it was reported that five people lost their lives when an Amazon cargo plane went off the runway during landing on Sunday afternoon. The plane, which arrived from Puerto Rico, reportedly veered off the runway after landing, hitting several vehicles and caught fire following this unfortunate incident.

Miami-Dade Fire Chief Ray Jadallah, who provided information about the incident, stated that the pilot and co-pilot were trapped in the cockpit, and after the crash, five people lost their lives, three were in critical condition, and two were taken to the hospital. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava addressed the details of the incident in a press conference, emphasizing that what happened was an extremely complex situation.

The aircraft is known to be a Boeing 767 model and was flying for Amazon Prime Air. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the plane went off the runway while landing at Miami International Airport and announced that the incident would be investigated. Airport officials stated that all flights at the airport were halted due to the accident and more than 250 flights were delayed.

More than 60 fire crews that arrived at the scene continued their efforts to extinguish the fire and assess the injured. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office announced that some roads were closed following the crash and alternative routes were suggested. Amazon expressed deep condolences for the lives lost and the affected families after the incident and stated that it would assist in any investigations.
